Again, here is the picture from the posting at Realtor.com compared to what we're staring at lately:
BEFORE:
NOW:
First, Mary's parents came up for Easter weekend - and for some electrical work/help. They were a HUGE help and great to have visit.
Getting the living room and master suite wired for outlets, lights, etc!
My mom and I were in charge of pulling out EVERY SINGLE staple, nail, screw, whatever in the studs to prepare for the foam insulation someday in the future...

Smoooooooth walls, eh? Still waiting on the $1 per staple price that was set in order for Mary and Elsie to complete the painstaking task. Seriously, we bet we made $2000 each!
Also, getting the control panel ready to move.
Alright, remember the MASSIVE brick fireplace we tore down on Valentine's Day?

This guy.
There is now the large hole in the floor where it once was ...
So, the hole in the floor is essentially where the new bathroom will be! It just needs, well, flooring, walls, plumbing, electrical and a new window. Here we go!
Here is Sam framing in the new window (to replace the old window) -
Framing for the new walls of the NEW bathroom!
Next up, my dad made yet another trip up to move the control panel from the living room (which was once the garage...) to the basement!

Slinger Electric does fantastic work, everyone!
From the living room ... to the basement! Just like that!
My dad also helped us install a beautiful fan for the gazebo and staple up vapor barrier on the ceiling.

Starting to imagine the new master bathroom!

And, starting to imagine our LIVING ROOM!
Last, but not least, we installed another new window (for the Master bedroom) ...
... And, got a NEW ROOF in May!
Much more to do, and a looooong ways to go. But, in this stretch we made some SOLID steps forward :)
Eventually, we will get to the kitchen (Phase 3)!
Onward -- at least it's warm(er) outside ...
