11.7.21 Will announce poop and start taking off her diaper after pooping. She's got us really considering potty training very soon!
Sam: Home from school and within 2 minutes she had identified and was asking for every new item on the counter (like banana bread, jello) and in the pantry, on each shelf, (like new boxes of mac n chz, new bars) including things I had only rearranged!

Loving puzzles! Super fun and she's really good at doing many at a time
When she chooses who will do stories and bedtime, then waves and says, "Bye bye, Momma/Dadda" to the other
Walking from the living room to her bedroom for bedtime and says, "Momma," then "Puppy" to follow her
11.20.21 Taking turns playing with Dean by knocking over soft blocks
Potty training update: She is the best at changing diapers than she has been in at least a year - will climb up onto the changing table or lay down when asked…. It's crazy. Will "take turns" getting changed with Dean and is super cooperative… Very few pees in the potty and has been putting toys in the potty lately, so not great.
11.23.21 Tells me "poop" while in pajamas, so we strip her down and she pees on the potty. Poops on the floor in her room. Two more pees in the potty. ½ poops in the kitchen, ½ in the potty (Sam carried her)!
11.24.21 Says "poop" we get her naked, she says "brr" and won't sit on the potty. Then, proceeds to request a diaper AND her pajamas be put on. Have literally never heard her say the word "pajama" and have fought countless nights to get them on…. This girl 🤷🏻♀️
11.24.21 Summit flip with her jacket! Tough getting it over her head, so almost all by herself

12.4.21 Christmas tree! 🎄 And first successful time wearing her new snowsuit!!
12.5.21 Potty training… NO wet diapers! An epic, messy, need-a-bath-now shit in her pants (while commando), but after that, GREAT day! Even risked commando going outside in her winter gear (because of diaper refusal…🤦🏻♀️)
So many animal name recognition and sounds -- super fun!!

1.9.22 "Canyon buddy" when she wants to get him to play 🥰
1.9.22 -1F. AWESOME - and incredibly surprising - snowshoe/walk and play in the snow with Momma and Canyon!! I was in such shock I didn't have my phone. Did a snowshoe lap with the Deuter, watching Canyon hop like a bunny through the deep snow. Made it back and she was climbing, hopping, falling, eating and walking in the snow! Then, first hot chocolate 😊
Loves to help give Dean a bath! And, does a really good job
Current favorite words: quesadilla, alpaca, too big/ tight/small/cold/etc., Uggie and Mooshi, oopsie, Dean happy, big stinky poop, yucky, gross, cute, raccoon, icicle, too tight

1.21.22 Found her standing in the guest bathroom sink when trying to put Dean down for a morning nap… she looks at me and nonchalantly says, "Hayden tall"

1.23.22 BIG DAY. To Hermantown YMCA for splash pad and swimming. Hayden was a bit clingy at first, but was making BIG splashes and jumping in (with a life jacket) from standing outside the pool. It was super fun!
Fell asleep within 8 minutes on the drive home. Tried for a little naptime, and she tooted and said potty, so we went to the potty in the living room. She carried it into the kitchen and POOPED!! "I did it!" and an awesome high five. The pride in her face 🤗🤩 Then, later, while painting dishes, she climbs down from her ladder, walks into the living room and poops again! Big stinky poops 💩

2.19.22 I'm attempting to get Dean down for a nap. Literally, bent over to set him in the crib, and Hayden bursts in the door, sun blinds Dean and I, and she is carrying her potty with a HUGE turd and one wipe in it!! Dean is wide awake and we celebrate Hayden's big, really stinky poop
2.20.22 Hayden overhears me ask to Dean, "Who are you, chubby boy?" And she responds, "He's Deanie, Dean HEIKen"
This girl will try anything physically and verbally! Super fun to hear her try new, big words and repeat phrases 💃🏻 And hear her practice the same word/phrase many, many, many times

When she asks Dean nicely ("please, Deanie") to play with a toy he is playing with
Big splashing and jumping into the pool, so fun!
One of the best things is getting her out of bed in the morning or after nap, and hearing the very first thing she says… usually the very last thing she said before going to bed, like no time passed
The way she says: hot chocolate, polka-dot, syrup, Hayden help, feel better, here you go, dance party
Loves watching dad snowblower from the windows
2.23.22 Has gone on 2 outings without a diaper… grocery store (complete with taking off her pants in the cart), and little truck ride around town
