10.17-10.19.22 Sick, pukey guy 😔
10.19.22 Getting much better at coming down backwards from surfaces. Previously, when
turned around to go feet first, he would only go forward, so crawl back up whatever he's
trying to get down from
Dancing! Will start to bounce when hears music, if standing or sitting
Pushes me/things away
Just RUUUUNS everywhere! Also, climbs OVER the back of the couch, no matter what we
put there (currently Hayden's green chair and red Adirondack) 🤩😵💫😲
Wants to surf the Roomba 🙈
Getting real good climbing up the ladder, and so confident!!
10.24.22 Poor dude. 1-yr vaccines + flu + Covid, so 6 total pokes. Sad, but good

11.5.22 I promise he two-arm hugged/embraced while I held him before setting him in
his crib. It was magical.
Just climbing into the kitchen helper like he’s been doing it for ages
Just does laps from the bridge/ladder over the back of the couch, down and around again 🙈
This one is officially a wild child! And, starting to push back a bit on his sister 🤨
When he wraps his right arm around my neck/onto my left shoulder, a hug

11.17.22 Summit conferences (Infant II) with Ms Sam: Little needy lately and super hungry.
Super great balance and movement. He is silly and clever. Very vocal, likes to babble. Very
engaged in busy bookworms, loves books. Making connections between sounds and shapes
and faces.
Climbing into the strider rocker! 👍🏼 🚲 ❤️ And rocking pretty aggressively. Huge open-mouth
smiles, throwing his head back
Really trying to communicate things with lots of pointing. Making lots of chatty sounds.

12.2.22 LOVES the basketball hoop! Too short to reach a ball through but holds it above
his head and shuffles excitedly to it! Will also very gingerly bring the ball to me and the
turn and watch the hoop for me to shoot. It's so adorable 😍 😍

12.3 and 12.4.22 Fun weekend with two kids that nap one time a day!! Sat 12.3 to the
DPL to play, read and surprise Ms Jena and holiday crafts! Sun 12.4 Up to Knife River for
Julebyen. Rode the troll train, bought fish ornaments, S is for Santa book… met Santa!
Little chilly, but a great time.
HUGS. He will climb up on your lap, put his arms on your shoulders and lay his head down
on your chest/shoulder. It's magical.
Mary: They are conspiring now
Sam: Yeah. When they can communicate, we're screwed.
Will bring a book and sit in your lap so nice and cute to read. Loves the puppy book,
anything touchy-feely

12.16.22 Bentleyville 2022. Chill guy that loved the cookie 🍪

Week of Christmas, got one bottom molar with another just pushing through 🫣😅🎅 4 top,
front teeth. 2 bottom, front teeth. Now, two bottom molars ha!
This guy and his hugs! And the embrace before setting him down in the crib is unlike anything!
Runs TOWARDS loud noises, and claps. Hayden runs AWAY from loud noises.

ground/floor. The figgy height is easy now 👏

Milk and stories for bed time. By the third night, he settled in and is a joy 😊

His defense move when he doesn't want to be set down: pulls up his feet into a seated
position in the air (the floor is lava)
Some gnarly, random tantrums… rolling on the ground and kicking 😟 Usually after nap
Loves putting boots on and Stomping around in the addition
Responding to Hayden, kinda. She'll ask him to say words and he will try! "Cheese!"/"Geee"
Asking him what different animals say and he either grunts or goes "mmmm" (keeping his
lips together)
1.22.23 Understands SO much of what we're saying. Will shake his head 'no' if he doesn't
want something. Definitely communicating nonverbal with Hayden
When Hayden calls him "Deano Heik"
Running FULL speed with his arms stretched backwards. And when he dances 🕺 😍
Running everywhere!! Loves to chase Hayden around the house. Loves the figgy mountains
and slides and tunnels and obstacles.
