6.14.20 - 6.17.20

Sunday 6/14/20

Depart ~0930. Picnic lunch to go at the trailhead of Copper Peak (by the ski jump). Trading laps and chillin with Hayden in the shade.

Horse flies and mosquitoes, OH MY! 

Melt down about 40 minutes from our destination; otherwise, pretty smooth sailing for our longest car adventure to date.

To MQT Airbnb around 1930 (Phil's on CR550), connected to Phil's market. Kufahl's settling in. Cute place!

Chill evening, ordered pizza. Beers and putting babies to sleep.

Monday 6/15/20

Beautiful morning! Coffee, muffins, eggs for breakfast.

Looking at trail maps. We're about 1 mile from the trailhead at the start of the North trails, which is super convenient!

Jacey and I went for an hour-ish long ride. Great trails, and such variety! Root-y, sandy, gravely, dark forests and alongside the Dead River. Very picturesque. 

Back to the Airbnb, no one was crying! Lunch then Sam and Tim took off for a ride.

Relaxing afternoon with tummy times and tunes. Sunshiny day.

Happy hour attempt success! At BlackRock's Brewery.

Tim made veggie curry and rice for dinner.

Drinks on the porch once lights out for H&H.

Tuesday 6/16/20

Pancake breakfast and chill. Then head to van out at the South trails trailhead and lot for riding laps.

Jacey and I rode about 5 miles; then, Tim and Sam went for long one. Much hotter than anticipated, almost 90. Made for hot, fussy and sleepy babies. Stopped by South Beach Park for the guys to take a dip. 

Back to the house for a chill, wind-down out of the sun (the house was still very warm inside).

Ice cream from Phil's 550 store (support Ben  & Jerry's).

Trying to appease the heated little ones. Sam made his famous shrimp boil for a late dinner. Drinks on the porch.

Hayden passed out, naked, on the queen size bed, for the time being... not cooling down quick enough, it made for an interesting last night! 

Wednesday 6/17/20

Happy 3-months to Hayden! Hannah's 2-months in a few days (6/20/20)!

Delicious bacon and eggs for breakfast. Chill, warm morning.

Packed up and out!

Made it to Wakefield, MI for little lunch and stretch break at a park. Swung through Culver's in Ashland, picked up the pup then home!

Great success of a MUCH-needed escape from spending the past 3 months straight at home...
