Crater Lake

We started the weekend with a drive along the Highway of Waterfalls
Heiken

Heiken, at a snails pace.
Wooden water pipeline built in 1948, still in use but has since sprung a few leaks.

Keep looking, there is a waterfall in this picture.

Standing by peaceful waters.
Diamond Lake

The trail down to Crater Lake

This Lake is 1,943 feet deep and is fed almost entirely by snow runoff.  Crater Lake averages 44 feet of snow each winter and the pure water from this snow gives the lake some of the cleanest most beautiful blue waters.

Mary on our boat tour, a three hour tour. (get it?)

The Phantom Ship

Wizard Island in the middle of Crater Lake

You can see one of the boats we went on next to Wizard Island
